A weaver since 1980, I work from a workshop at my home in County Kerry, Ireland. In addition to selling through galleries and shops locally and internationally, and teaching, I welcome commissioned work for individual needs.
Handloom weaving is versatile and is a way of keeping alive a very old, largely unchanged global craft. Today, more than ever, in a world where wooden floors, tiles, stone and minimalist design are the key living environments, it is essential to introduce elements of softness and texture into our fairly hard-surfaced world. For me, whether hangings, rugs, scarves, or throws, the use of colour and texture brings punctuation and added value to our lives.
You are welcome to this regularly updated site, which is a mixture of current weaving work, and an archive, representative of the work I have produced.
Visits to the workshop are by arrangement only. Contact me either by phone or at firstname.lastname@example.org
