I use Chinese ecru silk yarn for the scarves and use this to dye in the Japanese Ikat technique. I have had commissions to use certain colour-ways to suit specific personalities, but also use this product to ‘play’ with colour. No two scarves are ever the same and the wefts chosen are either handspun silk, or a commercial yarn in silk or a silk mix. They are mostly 160 cms in length and 32 cms in width but can be made to any specification.
Silk is very versatile, being both warm in winter and cool in summer. In particular it has a very flattering and comfortable drape. I regard these as both a comfort and as uplifting as a piece of jewellery. These are just a snapshot of the many colourways available.
All the scarves are 60 euro
