Chenille Landscape
This hanging (in wool) was made by first weaving the colour-blended chenille on the loom. After being cut, the wool chenille was used to weave the panels, side by side on the loom. Each panel (24 x 70cms) is hung from a 1m long steel rod, allowing you to either hang them close together, or sliding them to hang apart - thus creating a different wall image. The richness and depth of the colour is not as apparent in these photos as it is in real life. I have made many rugs using this chenille-making technique (see "Wild Flower Meadow" in the 'Archive' section as an example)
