Rivers of Blood
Wars “create” nothing – but destruction and hurt. In countries in conflict, one effect is often described as rivers of blood. Ireland is no stranger to this. Everyone’s experience of conflict is their own and it is good to express this. War hurts people, long after the conflict and fighting has stopped. It “creates” nothing. Whether ancient or current, it plays out the same loss.
