Autumn ripples
Inspired by the amazing work of Bobby Cox, this is about the reflections in water at the turning of the autumn season. Where the trees have changed colour in autumn, these colours are often reflected in the water that passes under them. The rich colour created by the iron content in the water complements these autumn colours. The skies are darkening and these show in the water also. This piece is very definitely not pictorial but gives a sense of the way those reflections and flows of brightly coloured water made me feel. Measures 150x150cms
