Coming out of Winter
This weft-faced weaving is all about the changes in the sky as spring starts to show glimpses. You know that feeling coming into the spring time when the first daffodils appear and all the drudgery of winter seems to start to fall away to be a distant memory? The skies are still a bit ominous, but there is a lightness also. A promise. I have added the yellow glass at the bottom to imply the way we start to think about sunny days and brighter skies. Another sense of hope. The “blending” technique mirrors that warm flow from winter into the spring and hopefully out of the dark days..The whole piece measures 120x150cms
